Itinerary:
- 07:15 – Pick up from hotel in city center, head to the south of ChiangMai city
- 08:50 – Stop at the meeting point to change from our van to a pickup truck to go to elephant home (about 5 minutes ride)
- 09:00 – Join the morning program with the group; get brief info; feed and get to know elephants; follow elephants by hiking up to the mountain. (It usually takes about 30 minutes to get back to the camp)
- 10:30 – Mud spa and bathe elephants
- 11:15 – Lunch at elephant home (fried rice with vegetables)
- 12:00 – Leave elephant home, and continue to Inthanon National park
- 13:00 – Arrived at the top of the mountain, then join a Karen tribe hiking on Kew Mae Pan train about 1.5-2 hours
- 15:30 – Visit two Pagodas, waterfall, and Karen village if time allow
- 17:00 – Leave national park, head back to hotel
- 18:30 – Back to hotel
Includes: Private van, join pick up truck, elephant home activities, local lunch, admission fees at all places mentioned above.
Note: Kew MaePan usually operates from 1st Nov – 30 March, but they can close without notice. If so, we will hike at PhaDokSeaw instead.
Recommendations:
- Sandals are recommended for for this trip especially for elephants visit
- Hiking or tennis shoes are good for hiking at national park; prepare sandals or flip-flops in rainy season, just in case
- Spare underwear to change after elephant activity or swimsuit for mud and bath activity
- Towel
- Shorts or skirt that cover knees to visit two pagodas (to go inside)
- Any kind of shirt/T-shirt (not sleeveless)
- Rain jacket in case of rain
- Bug spray, sun-cream, and hat.
