KhaoYai National Park, situated 200 km northeast of Bangkok, is Thailand’s biggest and most popular national park. Established in 1962, this vast natural preserve is spread over five Thai provinces.
Itinerary:
- 06:30 – Pick up from your hotel in city center
- 07:40 – Stop at the morning market at Baan Na (time permitting)
- 08:40 – Short trek to Hew Narok Waterfall in the national park
- 10:00 – Half-hour drive along the main park road to a scenic overlook
- 11:00 – On to the elephant village for a 30-minute elephan ride
- 11:30 – Set lunch at the elephant village
- 12:45 – Leave the elephant village
- 13:45 – Stop at local fruit market on the way back to Bangkok to try local fruit
- 16:00 – Drop back at your hotel
